The 2023 Oakland Supercross is up next and its Cooper Webb who is carrying the momentum right now in the 450SX class after his win at Tampa. Fun facts: Cooper clinched his 20th Supercross victory breaking a 20-race winless streak with a dramatic victory in Tampa Bay. He is now tied with Ken Roczen and Jeff Ward for 10th on the all-time 450SX Class wins list.

The Oakland SX press day was a success, we sent MXA's photographer Trevor Nelson to scour the pits and see what he could find. Scroll down to see his shots from the pits and click the link below to watch our raw press day video and see more coverage from Oakland.

It was the opener for the sixth season of Supercross racing and Bob Hannah would eventually win the last of his three titles after finishing runner-up to Weinert in Oakland.

Another history lesson: The winner of the Oakland Supercross has won the 450SX Class title in 6/14 seasons, including three of the last four stops. Oakland was a huge win for Jason Anderson's 2018 season but he was unable to win the title after his 2022 Oakland victory.

Josh Hill placed 14th at Tampa and earned his first 450SX Class top-15 finish since Round nine of 2015 at Atlanta 2.

Before this weekend, the list of Suzuki riders consisted of: Ryan Morais, Martin Davalos, Kyle Cunningham, Brandon Scharer, Killian Auberson, Phil Nicoletti, Justin Hill, Martin Castelo, Jimmy Decotis, Thomas Do, Alex Martin, Dilan Schwartz, Carson Mumford, and Jason Anderson. This weekend, Robbie Wageman (59) is lining up on Suzuki.
